FOSTER PROGRAM
Why Foster?
Foster is a program that saves the lives of homeless pets in our community! When homeless pets enter our doors that are injured, pregnant, too young to be adopted, or not adjusting well to our environment, they need a home to spend their time recuperating until they find their forever family. We provide all medical care and essentials; we just need you to provide your home and love for these pets!
How to Foster?
To foster for COF, fill out the application below! A staff member will receive this application, and an email will be sent to the email address you provided with access to COF’s Trello board. We use Trello to post all of the pets we have in shelter that need foster care. When you see a pet that will fit your home, just send a message to the email provided on Trello! All foster communication will be done through email, except in cases of emergencies.
What are the Fostering Requirements?
- 18 years of age or older
- Must have reliable transportation for rechecks or visits
- Own pets must be up-to-date on vaccinations to prevent transfer of disease
- Own pets must be spayed or neutered to prevent breeding with foster pets
We cover all food, medical and supply expenses. You provide the love, nurturing and training to help them find their loving forever homes!
