The adoption process

During your visit, our adoption team members will assist with the meet and greet between you and your potential pet, and also help determine who would be a good match for you and your family. Once you’ve made your decision, our adoption team will finalize the process. COFAS adoptions are done on a first come first serve basis.

Sunday- 8am to 5pm
Monday- CLOSED
Tuesday- 8am to 5pm
Wednesday- 8am to 5pm
Thursday- 8am to 5pm
Friday- 8am to 5pm
Saturday- 8am to 5pm

ADOPTION POLICIES

  • 18 years to adopt
  • provide a valid ID
  • COFAS reserves the right to refuse an adoption for any reason
Adoption Fees

Kittens & Cats –  Name Your Own Adoption Fee

Puppies & Dogs – Name Your Own Adoption Fee

Rats, mice, guinea pigs, birds – Name Your Own Adoption Fee
Reptiles & rabbits – Name Your Own Adoption Fee
Ferrets & chinchillas – Name Your Own Adoption Fee

All adoption fees collected assist in the daily care and ongoing needs of our animals. Adoption fees cover:
  • all pets are spayed/neutered or go home with a spay/neuter deposit
  • up-to-date distemper vaccination
  • up-to-date kennel cough vaccination (for dogs)
  • deworming
  • microchip and registration
  • intake examination


We reserve the right to hold special animal adoption promotions wherein prices may be reduced or waived.

Adoption Return Policy

We cannot accept returns or provide refunds, but please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you find that the adoption is not working out. We are here to assist you as much as possible in the rehoming process.

Working Cats Program

Our Working Cats Program has been designed to allow less socialized cats to barter their rodent catching skills for room and board under the supervision of an understanding caregiver on farms, warehouses, shops, as well as country backyards.
